Anti-Harassment & Dignity at Work Policy

GENERAL STATEMENT

Top Workwear UK is committed to providing a working environment in which all employees are treated with dignity and respect, and in which harassment, bullying and victimisation are not tolerated. We recognise that such behaviour can cause serious harm to individuals and damage working relationships, morale and productivity.

We are committed to promoting a culture of fairness, respect and professionalism, and to ensuring that all employees feel safe, supported and able to raise concerns without fear of reprisal.

LEGAL FRAMEWORK

This policy is implemented in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

SCOPE OF THE POLICY

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, agency workers and any other individuals working on behalf of the business.

DEFINITIONS

Harassment is unwanted conduct related to a protected characteristic which violates dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment.

Bullying is offensive, intimidating or insulting behaviour or an abuse of power.

Victimisation occurs when an individual is treated unfavourably for raising or supporting a complaint.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Management is responsible for implementing this policy and ensuring concerns are handled fairly. Employees must treat others with dignity and respect.

RAISING A CONCERN

Concerns should be raised with a line manager or Director as soon as possible.

INVESTIGATION AND OUTCOMES

All complaints will be investigated promptly and confidentially. Disciplinary action may follow where appropriate.

PROTECTION FROM VICTIMISATION

Victimisation will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.

MONITORING AND REVIEW

This policy will be reviewed annually.
