Whistleblowing Policy
GENERAL STATEMENT
Top Workwear UK is committed to conducting its business with honesty, integrity and transparency. We encourage employees and others working on our behalf to raise genuine concerns about wrongdoing, unsafe practices or unethical behaviour without fear of reprisal.
LEGAL FRAMEWORK
This policy is implemented in accordance with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998.
SCOPE
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, agency workers and individuals working on behalf of the business.
WHAT CAN BE REPORTED
Concerns may include criminal activity, failure to comply with legal obligations, health and safety risks, environmental damage, bribery or corruption, financial malpractice, abuse of authority or attempts to conceal wrongdoing.
RAISING A CONCERN
Concerns should be raised with a line manager or Director and may be raised verbally or in writing.
CONFIDENTIALITY
All concerns will be handled sensitively and confidentiality will be respected where possible.
INVESTIGATION AND OUTCOME
Concerns will be investigated promptly and appropriate action taken.
PROTECTION FROM DETRIMENT
Individuals raising concerns in good faith will not suffer any detriment.
FALSE OR MALICIOUS ALLEGATIONS
Malicious allegations may result in disciplinary action.
MONITORING AND REVIEW
This policy will be reviewed annually.
